It is recommended that netting used for containing animals should be treated before using and all spikes removed. Excess zinc on galvanised wire can be harmful to animals, this should be washed with vinegar and rinsed with water before using.
Rabbit
Rabbit Netting is perfect for building hutches and runs while keeping your animals safe from predators such as foxes and cats - a hutch is the animals main living space so they need to be protected at all times. Rabbits are quick on their feet and love to dig, which is why you need a sturdy but flexible rabbit netting that can enclose the animals. In a distinct hexagonal pattern with no sharp edges, they will be kept safe and unable to hurt themselves on the galvanised steel netting.
Chicken
Chicken Wire or Netting is a strong yet flexible material. As well as chicken coops it can be used for protecting small crops such as domestic vegetable gardens against pests. If you are protecting against pests that can dig, you will need to bury some of the chicken wire to act as an underground barrier. We have a large range of Chicken Wire in 50m rolls from 900mm to 1800mm in height.
Aviary Wire
Aviary wire is ideal for most domestic aviaries to keep birds safe. The aviary wire should be chosen depending on the type of birds you have, and the types of predators in the area. It’s important to also note the aperture of the mesh needs to be big enough to let in sufficient light and ventilation - especially as birds are prone to heat exhaustion. Our Aviary wire is made from Heavy Galvanised Wire and ranges from 12.5mm - 24mm aperture, and 900mm - 1200 in height.
Snake and Mouse Mesh
For protection against snakes and mice - this should be your go to. Whether you’re trying to keep them in or keep them out, Snake and Mouse Mesh has the smallest aperture meaning it will be most effective. This is also very useful for keeping your storage areas safe, for example stored grains, animal foods and hay. Our stock has 6.5mm square aperture and ranges from 900mm - 1200mm in height.
